CHIP House: the home of the future supported by solar energy and controlled by Kinect

Initially, the "Hyper-Insulated Compact Prototype" ( CHIP House ) was designed as a zero-emission housing module able to ensure the needs of electricity, but the final product is far better than the expectations being able to develop a number of energy equal to three times that required by the panels  solar sensors and interaction with the Kinect for a more intelligent resource.
The sunlight, which certainly is not lacking in our beautiful country, is exploited in the best CHIP House retaining the heat generated by lighting direct promptly withheld due to the particular materials with which it was developed and highly efficient ventilation system.
The sensors provide the Kinect instead of continuing to draw the inhabitants of the form of artificial lighting to ensure a coordination custom that follows the movements of activating and deactivating the ones that are usually sources of waste in our homes. The interaction with the external light is complete with a gradual easing of artificial sources if the sun is sufficient.
The project was developed in two years by more than 100 students at  Caltech and the SCI-Arc in respect of expenditure by $ 1 million that will be reduced to $ 300 000 for the production of a similar module. A figure all in all low ( 226,000 euros ) for an ultra-house technology that respects the pressing needs of low-cost electricity.
The CHIP House will be open from March 2012 at the California Science Center, and for those who want to know more about available is the official site : http://www.chip2011.com/design.html .
