The news of the moment about  the new books available on the iPad a few days thanks to the new version of the Author iBooks. The KAIST Institute for the convergence on information technology has created a video showing a prototype for a possible interface to use eBooks on the iPad .
The prototype, as anticipated, but is implemented on an iPad, as shown in the video description, using Apple's APIs that are private and not allow, therefore, the application to be approved in the App Store.
In any case, the video shows a series of multi-touch gestures that allow you to browse the eBook just as you would a real book , collecting, for example, multiple pages, with which, at the time, through the application iBook You can not do.
The native app from Apple, in fact, does not allow to go beyond the small animation that you get a page flipping. With this prototype of KAIST, however, would be added the following gestures :
- Browse through the pages and browse gathering them one by one
- maintaining a marked browsing the pages
- Turn multiple pages using more fingers
- quick swipe to browse multiple pages
- Long press on the device to browse multiple pages
- Write the page number
Innovation really special that we hope one day, with the necessary modifications and with the right precautions, can become a feature native iPad and future version of iBooks.
